Ideas for maintaining large projects
Many TYPO3 projects have entered a state of open-ended development: they will never be "finished" and undergo various core upgrades during their lifetime. The size and complexity of projects also increases with the growing importance of websites as strategic tools for marketing and customer service.
This poses a variety of challenges for development teams, from proper modularization over code hygiene to documentation that is still understandable years down the road. This talk will cover some (tested) ideas for meeting these challenges, plus give some room for a discussion of additional techniques.
Andreas is involved in maintaining several years-old TYPO3 Projects. He will share insights from these projects, and asks the audience to provide their tools, tips and techniques from their projects.
